Code of Conduct

Governance & Policy

Last Updated: January 2026

The RRAA Code of Conduct is an integral part of the employment contract and guides the organization’s work. It reflects our commitment to high ethical standards and the protection of those we serve.

Our Core Values

  • Humanity: RRAA addresses human suffering wherever it is found. Our goal is to protect life and health and ensure respect for the human being.
  • Neutrality: RRAA does not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious, or ideological nature.
  • Impartiality: Our humanitarian action must be carried out on the basis of need alone, giving priority to the most urgent cases of distress.
  • Independence: RRAA is autonomous from the political, economic, military, or other objectives that any actor may hold.

Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA)

RRAA has a zero-tolerance policy regarding sexual exploitation and abuse. Sexual exploitation and abuse violate universally recognized international legal norms and standards. It constitutes a serious breach of the RRAA Code of Conduct.

Child Protection

RRAA is committed to the protection of children and has a distinct Child Protection Policy that all staff must adhere to, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in all our operational areas.
